About
Founded by Bek Jopling and based in Asheville, NC, Foraging Home is a nature- centered organization offering immersive, place- based education and experiences for individuals and organizations seeking a deeper connection to the land.
With nearly 20 years of experience teaching ecology, nature connection,
and wild edible and medicinal plants and fungi, Bek brings depth, clarity,
and grounded expertise to every offering. Her work began in outdoor
schools and summer camps and has evolved into designing and facilitating
tailored experiences for adult learners, teams, and guests across a wide
range of settings.
Today, Foraging Home partners with tour companies, retreat centers, therapeutic and wellness spaces, hospitality venues, and values-aligned businesses to create guided foraging walks, on-site guest experiences, custom events, and unique projects and programming. Each offering is designed to be accessible, engaging, and rooted in the local ecology — inviting participants to slow down, step into a new perspective,
and reconnect with the living world around them.
Whether supporting team connection, enhancing guest experiences, or helping organizations thoughtfully integrate care for the natural world into their work, Foraging Home creates experiences that leave people feeling grounded, inspired, and more at home in nature.
